LAST YEAR
THE SECOND
DION FORTUNE SEMINAR
held on 1st September 2007.
Dion Fortune, The Avalonians and Faerie
A packed house on September 1st, for our second Dion Fortune Seminar, tackling the subject of Faery at the Assembly Rooms , Glastonbury, where some eighty years ago, Dion Fortune saw a performance of Rutland Boughton's Faery opera The Immortal Hour, based on the story by William Sharp. Our four speakers, Gareth Knight, Alan Richardson, Mike Harris and (William Sharp specialist) Steve Blamires, covered various areas of this vast subject and were prompted to cover even more by a series of questions and answers in our open forum at the end. The subject matter opened up so many facets of this fascinating subject that the Seminar will partly or wholly explore it further next year (September 6th), when WENDY BERG will also speak. Addresses from last year's speakers are meanwhile available to peruse/copy by clicking the links above the speakers.
